What is Rive’s new AI feature?
Rive’s new AI Coding Agent helps you learn and generate Luau code directly in the Rive Editor using Scripting. You can ask questions, request examples, or generate code through a chat-based interface.
How does it work?
The AI Coding Agent is built directly into the Rive Editor. You can chat with it in real time, and it integrates seamlessly with Rive’s scripting engine—no API keys, no switching apps, and no setup required.
Who gets access to it?
All users on paid plans can access the AI Coding Agent in the Early Access version of the Rive Editor.
How much does it cost?
During Early Access, the AI Coding Agent is free to use up to a monthly usage limit. For now, usage and monthly limits are represented as percentages, rather than tokens or dollar amounts. These limits may change as we learn more about real-world usage.
Usage per prompt varies depending on complexity, but the monthly limit should give you plenty of room to experiment. If you run out and still need access, you can reach out to Support and we will review on a case-by-case basis.
Long-term, we plan to offer a hybrid credit system (subject to change):
Recurring credits:
Included with certain plans, such as Voyager and Enterprise. These renew monthly but do not roll over.
The number of recurring credits a workspace receives increases proportionally with the number of paid seats in the workspace.
Top-up credits:
Optional add-ons are available to all users. These never expire and can be used at any time.
All credits are shared at the workspace level.
Is my code or project data used to train the AI or any other LLMs?
No. We have a Zero Data Retention policy active with our LLM provider. Neither we nor the provider use user data to train AI models.
Can I disable the AI Coding Agent for my workspace?
Admins on Enterprise workspaces can toggle the AI Coding Agent on or off for the entire workspace at any time.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
You’ll be temporarily unable to send new prompts. Monthly usage resets automatically, or you can contact Support for additional options.
Will the AI make mistakes?
Yes. Like any AI system, the agent may occasionally generate incorrect or suboptimal code, but it will attempt to self-correct. Always review code generated by the AI Coding Agent.
Can I provide feedback on the AI’s responses?
Yes. Please send feedback to our Community. Early Access feedback is especially valuable in shaping the final release.
