Early Access FAQ

What is Rive Early Access?

Early Access gives Enterprise and Voyager users the first look at unreleased Rive features before they’re fully launched. These features are still in development, and your feedback helps refine them before public release.

Who can participate in Early Access?

Early Access is available exclusively to Enterprise and Voyager customers.

Where can I access Early Access features?

Currently, Early Access features are only available on desktop.

Why are these features not production-ready?

Early Access features are in an experimental phase. They may be incomplete, change frequently, or have bugs. We encourage testing and feedback so we can refine them before full release.

How do I start using Early Access features?

  1. Ensure you're on desktop.

  2. Go to the Downloads page

  3. Download the Early Access app. (It’s completely separate from the Rive app.)

  4. Start experimenting and testing!

  5. When sharing work using Early Access features, label it as “Early Access.”

Can I use Early Access features in production?

No, Early Access features are not yet production-ready. They may change or break, so only use them for testing and experimentation.

Will Early Access features eventually become official Rive features?

Not all Early Access features will make it to a full release. Some may evolve, and others may not move forward based on feedback and feasibility.

Where can I give feedback?

We highly encourage feedback! Share your thoughts in the #early-access channel on Discord.

What kind of feedback is helpful?

We want to know:

  • What works? Does the feature function as expected?

  • What breaks? Report bugs or unexpected behaviors.

  • What’s missing? Are there additional capabilities or improvements you’d like to see?

Will I be notified about updates to Early Access features?

Yes! Sign up for the Rive newsletter for updates, new Early Access features, and improvements.

I found a bug. What should I do?

Report it in the #early-access Discord channel. If possible, include:

  • Steps to reproduce the issue

  • Screenshots or videos

  • Expected vs. actual behavior

Can I opt out of Early Access?

Early Access features are optional. You can simply not download Early Access if you prefer to work only with stable, fully released features.

How long will features stay in Early Access?

There’s no fixed timeline. Some features may quickly move to full release, while others require more testing or iteration.
