Possibility of a Sound-responsive Animation?
Hello, I'm a designer creating a voice search animation and came across Rive.
Is it possible to set up and create an animation that reacts to external sound via microphone?
Just to be clear, I am not looking to add an audio file, and I am not looking to mimic the motion.
I am hoping that my animation can move and match to a person's sound and volume in real time.
You can use Rive with different runtimes, for example Javascript, Unity, Unreal or Flutter. So if you can detect the voice with the runtime, you can use the voice to show it in the animation/character: https://rive.app/runtimes
Hi Pedro, could you explain a bit more in detail? Is it possible to create an animation that reacts to external voice without using Javascript, Unity, Unreal or Flutter? I'm more so used to creating animations in After Effects, Figma, or something similar.
And just to clarify, I'm hoping a silent animation could react to a voice after exporting and handing off to developers.
Are there export settings or rules that I could establish where if a trigger = voice, then the animation could grow/expand? I couldn't find a voice trigger though... let me know if there are any specific steps around this.
