Duplicating assets WITH animation...

Hi! I animated a character doing a dance, and I'd like to duplicate and alter that character (so there are two versions doing slightly different dances). Is it possible to duplicate the original character WITH all of it's keyframes. Right now, when I duplicate the group containing the character it doesn't bring over any of the keyframes, so now I'm stuck animating the second character from scratch. Is there a way to do that that I'm missing?

Hi Cameron! I think you're close to achieve it, just try to duplicate that same group but in animate mode, just make sure you have it selected in the hierarchy, lmk if this works!

Gah! I was duplicating in design mode. Thanks so much!

Ooo, actually, I just realized that when you do this, it ONLY duplicates the keyframes of the active timeline. I would love to have all of the timelines connected to that object to also copy frames over. Even if I shift-click multiple timelines in animate mode before hitting duplicate it doesnt work. Is this a bug? Is there a way to have all timelines be updated?

Oh I see, so this is not a bug, is the way timelines work at the moment.
Maybe you can suggest this idea in the feature requests channel. For now What I usually do is just duplicating the group as you already did and then copying and pasting the ones left from other timelines. Another thing you can do, is duplicating the animated group and then duplicate the timeline, after that, get rid of all the keys you don't want. Hope this make sense.

I ended up moving all my keyframes into one big timeline, and then duplicating, then splitting that timeline back into individual timelines. Definitely a bit of a hassle/workaround, that I'd love see added to the feature queue. I'll post there. Thanks again for your help!
