Audio Timing on Loop

I'm trying to create animations which help explain musical concepts. I've made a simple polyrhythm test using random sounds from the library synced to animation keyframes. The rate with which the audio events playback is a little inconsitent, causing a subtle push and pull in the rhythm which isn't desirable. Is there any rememdy for this or a better solution? I imagine using pre-rendered audio files which the animation syncs to may be better, but I'd also be concerned with loop point there as well.
