RiveXUnity 2D Support

Hey guys i really like Rive since it is easy to use and you have so many options, it makes animating so much easier and really gives it a more in-depth feel. but i use Unity in 2D which apparently is not that compatible with Rive i have been searching with not a lot of results, asking around which helped for the most part, looking for videos that don't exist except for that 3D minion video which doesn't apply in 2D. there is just no good way on how to have a 2D object like a Rive animated button respond to input in-game, or have a responding state machine, the conclusion i came by after searching day in day out for at least a month is that Rive doesn't support unity 2d in a proper way which is disappointing. and if it is possible (which i highly doubt) it probably is an enormous struggle (feel free to enlighten me if i am wrong), I sincerely suggest that if someone knows how to do it that they reserve 1 hour in a day to create a video that is a step-by-step guide for RiveXUnity but for a 2D project from rendering textures, to integrating animations to making them respond on input and have the Unity system register the in/output. for now, i sadly will have to quit rive, cancel my subscription, and continue inside of Unity itself which i would rather not do, but no one could really answer my question or find a fix to this problem and time is money and the project doesn't wait so i really hope this gets fixed so i can continue using Rive one day because it really is a wonderful platform.
