Vertex opacity animation broken
Keying the opacity of vertices is not possible.
To reproduce:
Create a line with two vertices.
Create a timeline and enter Animate mode.
Select the path of the object (containing the two vertices).
Key the layer opacity and set it to 0.
Run the timeline or add it to a state machine. You will notice that the path does not disappear.
Oh, yeah there's no way to key the opacity of a vertex. If you want to adjust the opacity of the path (stroke or fill), select the top level shape.
If this is not possible, I would suggest to remove the option to key the opacity on vertices.
Without this functionality, I am not sure how to achieve the following:
I have two green bars (see screenshot below). The green bars have a slightly larger black stroke behind it. This gives the effect of a black contour line. The black outline of the horizontal and vertical bar should not overlap. This is why I put the two bars in the same object as two paths. I animate the horizontal bar up and down and the vertical bar left and right.
However, it is also required to switch off the two bars independently. If I were to place the two bars into two separate objects so that I can set the opacity to 0, then the black outlines would start to cross (overlap) each other.
Is there another way around this issue?
I figured out how to do it. Instead of setting the opacity, I set the scale to 0 of the vertices.
But the suggestion to remove the opacity key option from vertices still stands though. It is misleading to keep that functionality there if it is not supposed to work.
