Many files crashing since latest update

Many Rive files are crashing on the desktop app about 1 second after opening them since the latest update. This is happening consistently to different team members on the same files regardless of operating system.

I have a sample .rev file that is crashing but not sure how to add it as an attachment here...

Please submit a Support ticket with your Rive account email so we can look up the account. You'll be able to attach the .rev (or .riv) to the ticket.

We believe the issue with the Windows desktop app is related to having one or more audio assets in the file. We haven't identified the root cause, so in the meantime, we recommend that folks use the web app on Windows.

Windows app is same issues found but in Web App is good. Rive team should be solve this issue immediately.

For anyone still having issues my team was able to find a work around. You have to load problematic files with a M3 Mac and, as long as we removed all the audio files, afterward the file was able to be loaded into by other users(windows & mac) without crashing.

The issue is due to an older bit of code in the Windows app that is no longer compatible with audio files. We have a fix going through QA now, and expect to release an updated Windows app soon. In the meantime, please use the web app on Windows if your file contains audio assets.
