We’re rewriting our Unreal Engine integration to deliver significantly better performance, and it’s already showing a 4x speed boost. To focus on this effort, we’re temporarily pausing support and no longer recommending the current version of the Rive Unreal plugin, which was released as an experimental preview. More details here.

This page is for those using the legacy version of the plugin.
See ‘Feature Support’ below for an updated list of Rive features in Unreal.

Rendering Support

The rive-unreal runtime uses the Rive Renderer and supports the following:
  • Metal on Mac
  • Metal on iOS
  • Vulkan, DirectX11, and DirectX12 on Windows
  • Android support is coming soon!
Planned support for:
  • Vulkan on Linux and Android.

Bug Reports

If you encounter any errors or unexpected crashes while integrating the Rive Unreal runtime, we recommend logging a detailed issue directly to the rive-unreal repository.

Feature Support

The rive-unreal runtime uses the Rive C++ runtime. For more details on runtime support, see the Feature Support page.
