I wanted to see how far I could push a living, data-driven ecosystem inside Rive, so I built this interactive fish tank. Instead of just standard loops, everything here reacts to user inputs and live data in real-time.
What is inside the file:
- Interactive Hunger Meter: A dynamic value changes the fish expressions and swimming loops from sated to starving. Click to drop food and they will automatically hunt it down.
- 2.5D Rigging & Target Listeners: Built with a joystick for smooth body rotation and procedural eye-tracking that follows your cursor.
- Reactive Environment: Background plants use an IK system and distance constraints to bend away from the mouse, while the bubbles are procedurally generated via canvas scripting.
