Masking State machine in Nested artboard

I have a pretty complex state machine that I want to use as nested artboard and mask (clip) on the nested artboard as a single element. It works in rive, but when I try to export the nested artboard as a .riv file and give it for development, the mask isn't visible in the code preview.

I assume Rive exports the original artboard and state machine inside it.

Are there any limitations to this and can someone explain why this happens?

We tried masking the original artboard/state machine with svg masks in our code, but it's not working properly. We tried image masks (native for CSS), but it still doesn't work well, since the mask will change based on skins. So our idea now is to just make the skins as .riv files and have the correct one play based on our needs, but this will only be possible if we can export nested artboards where we have clipping/masking.

Thanks in advance for any feedback for this!

Hey there! Hard to know exactly what you're trying to do without seeing the file. Would you mind sending in a copy of the .rev? If you'd like to keep it private, you can always create a support ticket here: https://rive.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

I assumed so, but I can't share the file here - just opened a ticket with the description, hopefully I can get some feedback on this, thank you, Robert!
