Adding multiple animations to a single file increases the file size of the export.
Please tell me how the file size is determined when the file is exported as .rive.
We are creating multiple animations on a page and exporting them in .rive format. When exporting, we do so with frames selected.
However, the exported file size is large.
This leads me to believe that all resources contained within the page are being exported, is this correct?
Does this mean that if I want to reduce the size I need to move the completed animation to a completely different file and export it?
Hi uetyo! are you exporting a .riv or .rev?
While waiting for your response, There's a few things that you can do to reduce the file size in the editor
Delete all unused assets, and delete svgs from the assets panel. Delete unused keyframes in timelines and all unused artboards.
In the editor there’s an option to reference the raster images and fonts instead of having it all embedded in the file, this will reduce the size of the .riv, (note: if you're using a .rev you'll want all embedded to keep the assets in the editor)
Hope this helps
Hi Lau.
I have been using as a .riv format.
Delete all unused assets, and delete svgs from the assets panel. Delete unused keyframes in timelines and all unused artboards.
so your suggestion I can not export only artboard asset like Figma's frame right?
Hey, yes at the moment all the artboards are exported. This matter has been talked about by the team and there's somewhere on the timeline to add this feature, meanwhile you can suggest it in the feature request channel.
One quick comment, the performance shouldn't be affected by the file size because it will only use the assets needed.
